Takeshi Omura is a potter in Ukiha city, Fukuoka. He decided to start making pottery when he saw works by Keisuke Iwata. After he studied under Mr. Iwata for a year, he went into Tajimi City Pottery Design And Technical Center to study fundamental technique. After graduating from the center, he moved to Ukiha city, which is his hometown. He likes the texture of rusty iron and tin, which was represented in his works. This kind of unique finish comes from an original process that pottery is being colored and fired repeatedly.
