Wataru Hatano, a handmade paper artist based in Ayabe, Kyoto Prefecture. While learning oil paint at college, he started on his path to the paper-making. Though he produces a large range of work including paper boxes, furniture, home decoration, and artwork, they are made from paper and in a design that values the texture of paper. His work that being colored or in scratchy texture enable us to experience the charm of paper.
